Social Resistance is a Dish Best Served Funny

Congratulations to Danny Tayara, who was recently named Festival Director for TWIST: Seattle Queer Film Festival. Danny is pictured above center with Pride of the Ocean filmmaker, Sam Berliner. Sam was named full-time Senior Programmer with Three Dollar Bill Cinema. Congratulations to them both!

Danny can be seen at left preparing for Pride of the Ocean’s 10th Anniversary Western Caribbean Cruise, by getting into an appropriately tropical frame of mind. Danny will be screening the film OH, I GET IT, which tells the story of how Seattle-based queer comedians are changing comedy using their own brand of humor, proving that social change is best served funny.

Danny Tayara is a filmmaker and animator in Seattle, WA. Past projects include a behind-the-scenes featurette for LUCKY THEM, and 2012 short film WHILE WE’RE ASLEEP. Danny’s career as a filmmaker began at Reel Queer Youth video production training for LGBTQ youth and allies, and has evolved to now managing the program.
