Why Come on Pride of the Ocean?

Fun in the Tub!

The Pride of the Ocean Film Festival Cruise is the first and only LGBT film festival on the high seas. We are dedicated to providing our audience with a unique fusion of exciting films and luxury cruising. In August 2013, we are offering a week-long, round-trip film festival cruise to Alaska from Seattle, including a day in spectacular Glacier Bay.

The Fourth Annual Pride of the Ocean Film Festival will be hosted on board the fabulous Norwegian Pearl. Her chic bowling alley, rock climbing wall, 16 delicious dining options, 13 bars and lounges, casino, spa, pools, fitness center, The Haven Garden Villas and so much more make this Jewel Class cruise ship a destination of her own.

What does Pride of the Ocean have to offer?

  • Firstly, we are a film festival. Our Program Director, John Scagliotti, has been programming some of the most important films of the year. To see trailers from our program of films, visit our “See Our Films” page.
  • “CineSLAM Film Seminars” CineSLAM brings on board talented filmmakers for film critiques and workshops. Here is your chance to share your ideas with the next generation of LGBT filmmakers.
  • We sponsor exclusive opening and closing cocktail parties for our audience members.

Since our first cruise in 2010, Pride of the Ocean has catered to a diverse group of passengers, including filmmakers, film festival directors, and most importantly, you film lovers! Here is what some of them have to say about Pride of the Ocean.
