Soar up the futuristic Space Needle and experience the views atop this stunning landmark created for the 1962 World’s Fair.

JuneauJuneau has been called Alaska’s peak experience, certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau Icefields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak up one of the area’s many protected waterways, go flightseeing, tour historic downtown or try your hand at panning for gold.

Tuesday, Aug. 11th | Skagway | Arrive 7:00 AM | Depart 6:00 PM

SkagwayIn a single year from 1896 to 1897, this remote town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travelers come in search of other riches – to experience yesteryear along Skagway’s charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days. An unforgettable experience in Skagway is a group excursion on the White Pass train ride.

Tuesday, Aug. 11th | Inside Passage | Overnight

InsidePassage2The incredible landscape of the Inside Passage is home to diverse wildlife – orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and more – but the superstars of the area are the gentle giants who feed here every summer. Look out for the awesome acrobatics of breaching humpback whales. You’ll never forget the sight of these 40-ton beasts hurling themselves into the air, almost completely escaping the water. If you’re especially lucky, you could see them swimming together to create a bubble net, trapping and eating fish by the giant mouthful.

VictoriaLocated on the southern tip on the island of Vancouver in British Columbia, the city of Victoria is probably best known for its mild climate and active outdoor lifestyle. (In fact, the city has been named the “fittest city” in Canada more than once.) As the capital of British Columbia, the city is very tourist-friendly. Among the many attractions are world-famous gardens, its 150 years of British history, gourmet dining and fantastic shopping.
